Application packaging is ever so important in this day and age of Modern Workplace and the use of Autopilot within Intune. While working with our partners in local government, we have worked with IT teams to package their fleet of applications in order to distribute within tools such as Intune, and SCCM. These packages often require meticulous discoveries, and breakdowns of installers before a true self-installation package can be created.
As many organisations, particularly in local government use common applications, Cloud Context have put together a list of applications we have deployed in recent months. We would like to share this knowledge and experience with other local government but offering these packaging services to all our clients.
Some applications can drop in and are ready to deploy while some may require customisation to suit your specific environment. At times, applications can take tens of hours to deploy, with numerous attempts, and minor changes required to achieve the goal of self installation with no user interaction. Once these tricky applications are packaged successfully, it allows us to share that knowledge with other organisations, allowing us to provide the service more efficiently.
